TwinTurtle Games released the TWCC demo!

I doubt anyone checks here anymore, but just in case…

TwinTurtle Games released the That’s the Way the Cookie Crumbles demo! You can pick it up on the new site: http://twinturtlegames.com/

Click on Games, then the TWCC page for the downloads. Enjoy!

We have a new site!

We’re at twinturtlegames.com! Go check it out!

This old WordPress blog is now obsolete, and all future updates will go on the new site. See you there!

4 Guys Down, 1 More to Go! Also Major Update

Ain’t Josh just the most purdy thing you’ve ever laid eyes on? Trollface is best face

Also, we weren’t kidding when we said that we were getting a domain.  While Gutsy and Spartan try to clean up the new site, have some (moar) turtles!

Where does the Truth end and the Deception begin?

April 1, AKA April Fool’s Day. It’s a day where people mess with you and say they get a free pass, but at TwinTurtle Games, we’re totally serious business all the time, amirite? Yeah, I’m totes right.

But that also means we take our jokes seriously. In this post, we got a bit of the Truth and a bit of Deception, and it’s your job to pick out which is which. Why? Because I felt like it, that’s why.

Megane has joined your party!

In which all the shoujo’s kokoros go doki doki and many a kya is heard the image of Santos glaring at you is forever embedded into your retinas @_@ You can thank Reikun for that 😛 There are two more expressions I was too lazy to throw in here, but you need something to look forward to in the demo, right? Right.

And here’s a turtle, an animal which Santos most definitely does not keep two as a pet of.

Art, Secret Projects, and Plugs Ahoy!

I… don’t know Q_Q

I heard that you heard that art was getting done, and I’m thinking that you’re thinking “whaaa?!” Assuming that I’m right, you’re all anxious to see what Ryu and Rei have put together. Gutsy also hinted at some “secret projects” in our last update, so check past the break for more! More

Development Update, 3-11

Only about three weeks left before we hit our planned release date! Everything looks to be on track.

What we’ve been up to:

  • Finished major coding for TWCC. Events (including baking) all happen at appropriate times, you may now put bunches of goods on sale, and other fun things. All that’s left is balancing how different things work. (Of course, we may add new features after the demo release. We’ve chosen not to add any more for now so we can make sure that what we have works properly.)
  • UI and art are coming along! Elise is getting a color scheme, the boys are getting lineart, and now that all the features are in place, the UI will get its final design. (As with the features, the UI may change between the demo and full game release.)
  • Script is still coming along nicely.
  • Secret projects. >_>

I can’t wait for the end of March. Hopefully you guys can’t either!

(The filename claims this is a turtle high five. I’m not sure it’s that friendly…)

Sprite progress!

Hello everyone *U*;;; Rei here working on sprite linearts! Have an Elise:

Elise

She actually has one more expression not pictured here… I’ll be working on the boys now~ Should I do them in the reverse order of the popularity poll? I’m feeling very good about TWCC’s progress!! Look forward to the demo!

Development Log, 2-28

We’re still alive! And with slightly more than a month to go before demo release, we’re actually kinda hard at work! We just wanted to give you a quick update as to where our development is going.

TWCC:

  • Rewrote the customer purchasing code so it’s a bit faster and flows better when read. (We still need to find a way to speed a section up, or at least not make the game feel like it’s lagging.)
  • Added a event manager, so everything will happen at the right time. (It’s based off the Dating Sim Engine made for Ren’Py, which I would have just used directly if I could get it to work properly, but I couldn’t so I made my own.)
  • Got some pictures to use as backgrounds, and we’re working on making them look nice and fit in with the sprites.
  • Sprites are being worked on, hopefully soon we’ll have something to show.
  • Created a way to save up to 3 lists of goods, so when you find a selection that maximizes profits, you can reuse it and modify it as necessary.
  • Script is being worked on! This is one of the harder things to talk about in devlogs, since there’s a need to avoid spoilers.

What’s next:

  • Balancing prices and profits, making sure the game is fair
  • Possibly adding a system to allow you to put goods on sale (although it might be pushed back until the full release)
  • Getting all the bakery code, events, hiring, etc integrated into a proper game

See you next update! I hope you’re excited!

CheeryMoya edit: Why no turtles :V

Challenge… Accepted!

Hey there!

Some of you may know me from my own blog, or the Lemmasoft Forums. Others may have never heard of me. To all of you, welcome to my world. Come on in, run the cat off the couch, and let’s just see how deep this rabbit hole goes.

I’m one of the oldest members of the Lemmasoft community, and I am the oldest member of both this team and the LemmaTV project. I’ve been writing books for twenty-five-ish years now, and Visual Novels for two. There are a couple of successfully completed games running around LSF and http://games.renpy.org if you know where to look.

I’m here to assist the Team in planning, prepping, and executing new projects. I will be writing a few myself, as well. The ladies on staff are very talented, and I’m very much looking forward to working with them.

For now, I think I’ll hop down from my soapbox, and let you all get back to your day…

CheeryMoya edit: Teehee, thanks Uncle Spartan C: Had to change the turtles though; already been used.
